Concept & Design:
The CTI
Group’s Office at Acropolis Mall, Kolkata is designed to create a space which withstands the test of time only in terms of workmanship but also the in terms of design & flavour. The overall creation
was indented to reflect the ethos of the company i.e. providing comprehensive solutions for everyone.
During the initial project briefing, the client’s vision was to create a office that works as an extension of their home since it is a family business. A homely mandir was a prerequisite that needed to
be camouflaged in the office environment. Another requirement was the lounge where the client can spent time with the family during breaks.
The total office space is of around 2500 Sq. Ft. of floor areadesigned for a total staff of around 25 people; and includes the reception lounge, director’s chamber, 2 closed chambers, open chambers, a
mandir
cum meeting room, primary working area & other auxiliary areas. The requirements were skilfully put into plan as per the brief provided by the client.
The entire colour scheme has been kept to very basic with earthy and monochromatic tones along with the usage of wood in few areas as complimentary overtones. A few bright paintings in chambers add lot of
vibrancy to the overall space. The whole office space is planned in such a way that it gets flooded with lot of natural light, bringing in lot of positivity in general.
A wide passage space left on both the side of central sitting cluster, for the ease of movement and better flow of workspace. One of the key elementary features is the full-height storage placed at thecorner
on one side towards wall, keeping the rest of the space neat and clutter free.
Entire office has been planned in compliance with Vaastu, right from entrance, reception table placement, chambers, pantry, Mandir and rest of seating. A dedicated zone has been provided for
pooja
with one meeting table and hanging light to make the best utilisation of that space. An open yet partly closed pantry area is provided with all the amenities and a separate counter for employees to have
lunch.
A separate lounge area is made for the directors to have their own personal time or have any informal meeting with a 60″ TV. Grey concrete finished tiles give a very rustic yet modern style balanced by
using light coloured veneer in the central zone. We preferred to use dark wooden texture for chambers and reception area to bring in lot of richness and opulence.
